It's the most southern island of the Grenadines, with a small airport and a harbour that is so clean you can actually swim in its waters. Extraordinary relaxed people. No massive tourism or industry. Picture a chain of Tropical Islands that separate the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea. Five miles off the coast the shelf drops down to over 200 meters on either side of the island. Within this under water area you have an average depth of thirty meters with pinnacles coming straight out pointing to the surface. Some of these rocks forming small islands for birds to nest on. Imagine the sea life you will see. Enormous concentration of fish, Coral reef and sponges. On the shore line untouched mangroves offer shelter and act as nursery's for juvenile tropical fish. Most of our dive sites are less than five minutes boat ride from the dive shop. In the winter we have migrating humpback whales passing through. Many of our divers enjoy listening to their songs…. |

South of Carriacou you will find a very different diving spectacle. These dives are for the more experienced Scuba divers. You will find caves, caverns and walls in thirty meters of water. Because of strong tides you will be drifting in up to four knots of current. Nature has its ways of protecting its self. In these areas they are no fishing nets, no fish pots as the current would take them away. These are the untouched reefs of Carriacou. Fifteen minutes away from the dive shop come and dive the unexplored. |

The D.S.D experience is for non divers who want to discover the thrill of diving without signing up for scuba lessons. Our scuba instructor or divemaster will spend half a day teaching you the basic theory you need to know for safety and enjoyment. You will be fully suited in scuba diving gear (mask, fins, regulator, BCD and tank). In waist high water so if anything goes wrong you can stand up. Breathing under water is a new sensation. As your confidence grows your instructor will have you practice different skills and soon you will be diving on a coral reef. Take a way with you some scuba diving pictures of our Carriacou under water life. The discover scuba diving is not a certification course but enables you to dive for the length of your vacation. Our scuba diving shop and friendly staff offer the best PADI Open Water Course you will ever take. We guaranty that you will be real divers at the end of the course. An Open Water course will take up to 4 days this includes 4 dives on the reef, 5 confined water sessions, and 5 theory sessions. Complete your scuba diving training with the PADI Advanced Open water course. This will take 2 days to expand your dive knowledge and confidence in deep diving, navigator diving, underwater photograph diving, night diving, and more. To be a safer, more independent diver you will need to take the PADI Rescue diver course and if you become addicted to diving like us, you will want to take the PADI Dive master course. This is the beginning of your professional career in diving. This is the highest level of dive knowledge and skills a diver can achieve. Looking to unwind, looking to take home perfect dive shots ore videos. Lumbadive in Carriacou is the place for you. Our personalised attention coupled with diving in small groups will allow you to take time to take that special shot. Underwater photography demands a lot of time. Most often divers need to keep up with their dive guide. You will end up spending most of your time making sure you are still with the dive group. With Lumbadive you can spend this time making that under water photograph. That second when the grouper is looking straight at you, immobilised. We make sure to take you on dive sites where the conditions are best and our dive masters spend time taking care of our divers. You will find that not only do they show you life, take care of navigation and safety but really organise the dive so you the diver can take full advantage of your dive time. A prime example is that even on a 30m dive we will multilevel it so that even the heavy breathers can stay one hour. WHY DIVE WITH LUMBADIVE IN CARRIACOU
How to choose a destination, a dive resort for your vacation is not an easy task today more then ever. It all depends what type of vacation you are looking for. If you are looking for an all inclusive package in a confined hotel with same buffet every day, Carriacou is not for you.
Carriacou is a small island where local population mix very well with visitors. There is small hotel (less then 20 rooms) and everyone landlord are building guesthouses. You will meet people always smiling and weaving at you. You can buy your vegetables and fruit on the street and there is many restaurants as well groceries.
It is a place where stress does not exist.
DIVING
Carriacou offers beautiful dive sites at five to ten minutes from our private jetty.
SERVICE
VIP is standard. When you get to dive center in the morning your equipment is assembly and waiting for you on the boat. You just need to get in your wetsuit and walk to the boat directly from our private jetty. On return from your dive, you do not have to carry any equipment and rise it. We do it all for you. You are in vacation, we are not. Our passion is to make your vacation memorable because we want to see you again and again as well as your friends
